11 city governments of Zhejiang signed Duty of Elimilating Backward Production Capacity

Zhejiang Provincial Government announced that 11 municipal government under jurisdiction have signed a responsibility agreement, which required the implemention of eliminating backward production capacity. According to reports, the state issued in Zhejiang in 2010 that the objective of eliminating backward production capacity related to 6 different industried include chemical fiber industry. Zhejiang Provincial Government said it would no longer approve or file any "Two High" industry with excessing capacity like chemical fiber with their expanding project. For those cities and counties who fail to finish the task of eliminating backward production capacity, Government will implement the approved project area limits, and take eliminating backward production capacity target completion into the local government performance appraisal system with accountability assessment. At present, the backward production capacity of 6 industries in Zhejiang still accounts for 10% to 15% of the total capacity.
